The questions
we get asked.

Including the ones that don't flatter us.

Do we need to switch software to use Hospit?

No. That's the whole point: Hospit runs alongside your current practice software, on the single scope of hospitalization. Consults, calendar, invoicing and medical records stay where they are.

What happens at the end of the three free months?

You decide. Continuing costs €180 (excl. tax) per site per month, with no commitment. Stopping requires nothing: no card was registered at sign-up, so nothing gets triggered on its own.

How many users are included in the €180?

All of them. Veterinarians, vet techs, assistants, locums: as many accounts as there are people working in the ward, at no extra charge. That's what allows every completed treatment to be signed by the person who did it.

Does Hospit import our existing data?

No, and that's deliberate: there is no data migration. A stay begins at admission into Hospit. It's also what makes setup immediate — there is nothing to wait for.

Does the stay's invoice come out of Hospit?

No. Hospit is connected to neither your medical records nor your invoicing. What it does keep is the record of what was actually done, day by day and then by type of care, and you can add a line the protocol hadn't planned. That record is what you carry over into your software.

How long until we are up and running?

A guided three-step setup: your clinic, the protocols you practice, then your hospitalization units and their cage board. The account itself is created just before, on the sign-in screen. You can admit your first patient the same day, with no involvement from us.

Are the included protocols imposed?

No. Nine protocols come as a starting point; you activate, duplicate or rewrite them day by day, and create others. The clinical content remains your responsibility — it's your medicine, not ours.

Does the owner get news of their animal?

Yes, by email: the owner can receive updates during the stay, including photos of their animal. Every send is logged in the stay with its date — what was communicated stays written. Hospit does not send text messages.

Where is our data, and who owns it?

It's yours. The "Your data" section of the terms of use, at app.hospit.vet/conditions, says what we do with it; the privacy policy, at app.hospit.vet/confidentialite, says where it is hosted. Both open from inside the app. The session locks automatically after a period of inactivity, because the ward computer is a shared computer.

Do we need to install anything?

No. Hospit runs in the browser, and the interface is fully responsive: the ward computer, a tablet or a phone, for doing the care round right at the cage. Sign-in is by email or Google account.

What if we have several sites?

Each site has its own subscription and its own ward, at €180 (excl. tax) per month. Protocols, on the other hand, belong to the organization and serve all your sites: written once, a protocol applies everywhere, and it can be duplicated within the organization when you want a variant. There is no consolidated cross-site view in Hospit. Beyond five sites, write to us for consolidated billing.

What does this have to do with Treats?

Hospit is published by Treats and designed with practicing veterinarians. It works on its own, without anything else from us, and there is no obligation to go further.

Your question isn't here?

Fifteen minutes on a video call with someone from the team usually does it.
